A guns.lol alternative: what HOKORA does differently
HOKORA gives your page the kind of atmosphere guns.lol is known for — a photo or video background, music behind a “click to enter” screen, snow and rain, glowing names, custom cursors — and adds game ranks, a live Discord status and Steam. The differences: text stays readable whatever colours you pick, every effect can be paused, music never starts on its own, and there’s no public view counter.
What guns.lol does well
guns.lol is a link page built for atmosphere: a video or image background, music behind a “click to enter” screen, glowing names, custom cursors, Discord presence and badges. That’s what I saw when I studied it on 23 September 2026. On 24 October 2026, its home page claimed over 2,450,000 users. Its pricing is simple: a free plan, and Premium for €7.99, paid once.
What you’ll find on HOKORA too
- Backgrounds: a full-screen photo behind your page — one from HOKORA or your own — or a live background (Aurora, Nebula and Liquid).
- A video background: a short loop of your own over your background image, without sound (HOKORA+).
- Music behind a “click to enter” screen: your own track in a small player, started by “Enter with sound” or the play button (HOKORA+).
- Effects: 10 ambient effects — snow, rain, stars, petals, embers, fireflies, aurora, retro TV and film grain.
- A name that glows: glow, gradient, shadow or outline on your name, in the font you choose.
- Cursors: 17 drawn cursors or your own image, 5 cursor effects (Fluid, Ribbon, Sparkle, Trail and Ripple), and cards that tilt in 3D.
- Discord presence and badges: your live Discord status, once you’ve proved the account is yours.
What HOKORA does differently
- Readable, whatever you pick. Choose any colour: the text is adjusted just enough to keep WCAG AA contrast, even over a photo or a moving background.
- Every effect can be stopped. Every page with motion has a pause button, and nothing moves for visitors who ask their device for less motion.
- Sound only when asked. Music never starts on its own, pausing the effects stops the video, and a link to one of your blocks skips the entry screen.
- No score. There’s no public view counter and no leaderboard. Your stats are yours alone: 7 days, or 90 on a paid plan.
- Light by default. A public page ships no script unless you add an effect that needs one.
- More than a profile. Ranks in 25 games, Steam and AniList, your top lifts, and a live Discord status.
What HOKORA doesn’t do (yet)
An honest list: HOKORA doesn’t sell add-ons one by one — paid features come in a plan — and its own library of loops and tracks isn’t out yet: for now, a background video or a track is one you upload yourself, up to 12 MB and 8 MB.

guns.lol or HOKORA: which one to pick
- Stay on guns.lol if you want to pay a small amount once: Premium is €7.99 for life, while HOKORA+ is a subscription and Founder, paid once, costs €39. Stay too if the view counter, the leaderboard and the badges matter to you: HOKORA has none of them, on purpose.
- Pick HOKORA if your page is mostly about the games you play: ranks in 25 games with their emblems, your tracker.gg or OP.GG profile, your Steam library and your live Discord status. Or if you want your page to stay readable whatever colours you choose.
- Try both. Both have a free plan: build the same page on each and keep the one you prefer.
Moving over
Claim your name on HOKORA and start from the Streamer or Competitive gamer template. Paste all your links at once — your socials land under your name as logos — then pick a theme, add an effect and a photo background — a video and your music with HOKORA+ — and publish.
