Terms of Sale

What you buy, what you pay, and how you stop. These terms apply to every order; you accept them before paying.

This is a translation. The French version is the one that applies. Read the French version

Scope

These terms of sale apply to HOKORA’s paid plans. They add to the Terms of Use, which cover the whole service. The parts that come from French consumer law only apply to purchases made as a consumer.

The plans

  • Free — free, with no time limit. It isn’t a sale: these terms don’t cover it.
  • HOKORA+ — a subscription, monthly (€3.99 a month) or yearly (€29 a year). Today it removes “Make yours on HOKORA” from the footer of your page, keeps 90 days of stats instead of 7, allows 1,000 uploaded images instead of 200, and opens the background video, music with its entry screen, the Torii preset and a cursor made from your own image.
  • Founder — a single payment of €39: HOKORA+ for the whole life of the service, and a numbered badge shown on your page. 500 places at most, numbered 1 to 500.

Each plan is detailed on the Pricing page. A feature marked “Soon” isn’t part of what you buy today: it joins the plan when it’s ready, at no extra cost. A feature that is free won’t become paid for a page that already uses it.

Prices

Prices are in euros, all included. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code: the price shown is the price paid.

A subscription price may change. You’ll be told by email at least 30 days before; the new price only applies from the next renewal, and you can cancel before then. The Founder price is paid once and for all.

Ordering and payment

  • You order from the studio, on the Plan page: you choose the plan, accept these terms, and ask for it to start right away (see “Withdrawal”).
  • Payment happens on the secure page of our payment provider, Stripe: card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. HOKORA never sees your card number.
  • The order is final once the payment is accepted. You get a receipt by email, and your invoices stay available from the studio (Manage billing).
  • A subscription is paid at the start of each period, with the same payment method.
  • If a payment fails, it’s retried for a few days and your plan stays on. Without payment it stops, and your page goes back to Free.

If you’re a minor (the service is open from age 15), ask a parent or legal guardian before buying.

Term, renewal and cancellation

  • A monthly subscription renews every month, a yearly one every year, until you cancel it.
  • For the yearly plan, an email reminds you no earlier than three months and no later than one month before it renews, with the option not to renew (article L215-1 of the French Consumer Code).
  • Cancelling happens online, in the studio: Plan page, “Cancel subscription”, then “Confirm cancellation”. It takes effect at the end of the period already paid, whose date you’re shown; the plan stays on until then. You can also write to [email protected].
  • A period that has started isn’t refunded, except when you withdraw (below).
  • When a plan stops, your page goes back to Free. Nothing is deleted: the plan’s settings stop showing, and come back if you resubscribe.
  • Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately; the current period isn’t refunded. A Founder place belongs to your account: it ends with it and can’t be transferred.

Withdrawal

If you’re a consumer, you have 14 days from your order to withdraw, without giving a reason (article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code).

When you order, you ask for your plan to start right away. You keep your right to withdraw, and if you use it: for a subscription, you only pay for the days already used and the rest is refunded (article L221-25); for Founder, you’re refunded in full and your place is released.

To withdraw, write to [email protected] — one sentence is enough, for example “I withdraw from my HOKORA+ order of 24 September 2026” — or send the form below. We refund you within 14 days, with the payment method used for the order.

Send the form to

  • I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service:
  • Plan ordered on:
  • Name of consumer:
  • Email of the HOKORA account:
  • Date, and signature if sent on paper:

Guarantees

You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (articles L224-25-1 and following of the French Consumer Code) for as long as your plan runs. If a paid feature doesn’t work as described, write to [email protected]: we fix it; if that isn’t possible within a reasonable time, you can get a price reduction or end the contract and be refunded.

For everything else — availability, third-party services, limits of liability — the Terms of Use apply, within the limits consumer law sets.

Personal data

For a payment, Stripe processes your payment details; HOKORA keeps your plan, its status and its end date. What we keep, why and for how long: see the Privacy Policy.

Complaints and mediation

For a complaint, write to [email protected]; we answer as quickly as we can.

If your written complaint isn’t resolved, you can refer it free of charge to the consumer mediator below (article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code), within a year of your complaint:

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If there’s a dispute, write to us first; failing an agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer, you can also go to the court of where you lived when you ordered, and you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.

The French version of these terms is the one that applies.

Changes

These terms may change; the date of the current version is at the top of this page. An order stays governed by the version accepted that day. For a subscription, a new version is announced at least 30 days before it applies from the next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
